La Amistad Show Year Results

This year La Amistad's mare Princesa won the Open Pleasure CH with Mary and Magica took the A/O Performance CH with Alfredo in Lexington VA. In Springfield OH Princesa also won the A/O Pleasure CH along with Penelope, and Poetico, both Portal's offspring, winning champions in Bella Forma. We were very pleased with the results of the Piedmont Futurity in Asheville NC with Portal and Triunfo colts taking first and second place, once again proving that La Amistad's breeding program produces MONEY WINNERS! At the Grand National Show La Amistad's filly Patrona (Tormento x Pandora) placed fourth in BF 3yr fillies, open Fino 3yr fillies and in the Fino Futurity also. Portals' son Poetico was Nat. CH 2 yr and 3rd Grand CH in BF Geldings. Another Portal son owned by Lisa and Keith Gorsuch, Middlefields' Magnifico was Res. Nat. CH and Reserve Grand CH BF Geldings . Gwyn Wright was very pleased when her Portal son Isandro took Reserve Nat. CH in the yearling colts class. She was happier yet when he took Reserve in the Breeders Sweepstakes colts class not only taking home trophies and ribbons, but winning MONEY too!

In the riding classes Portal's daughters fared well also. Penelope placed in both open pleasure and A/O Perf. Poesia had a great class with Alfredo in the A/O Perf. 3 yr fillies taking a well deserved third place. We appreciate Portal's ability to produce beautiful foals that are well gaited and smart. We also appreciate that these offspring have won $$$ so consistently for thier owners. We are looking forward to Portal babies in 2012 out of our Capuchino daughter Nolena and our Comentario mare Magica. Startown Stables in NC bred a couple of mares to Portal also. In addition we have our Profeta daughter Paloma in foal to Jaranero.
